Salemme, born November 9, arrived a month early because she had such a zest for life! Her name means "peace." When she was 4 years old she started ballet with her eldest sister. At school she was very interested in acting and singing, singing choir weekly and playing a key role in the regular semi-annual school musicals.

At age 8, she would sing and dance for hours in front of the mirrored wall her father put up in the make shift backyard gymnasium. In high school, Salemme took advantage of a special music oriented program to develop her performing skills including singing, dancing and acting. 


She took weekly street dance, Latin Hip Hop, Gogo dance, Jazz ballet and Breakdance lessons.

During her high school days, she attended two years musical training and meanwhile went to auditions for various producers and record labels. In a major national audition of a major record label she was elected but ultimately just found too young because she was only 15 years old.

While she was still studying and looking forward to graduation, her acting classes paid off and she got a role in the successful Dutch soap opera 'Westenwind." Salemme also guest-starred in 2006 in "Good Times, Bad Times." In 2007, she was even featured in Dutch theaters with a small role in the Dutch horror film "Horizonica."

In addition to a make-up training and weekly voice lessons she joined online casting agencies. After several auditions for Dutch and German record labels, she was chosen to work with a music production team to sing in a girls' pop group. After a while, the DJ/producer Jake K. started to work on her solo career. This collaboration brought Salemme's debut single in 2006 "Oh My God", featuring rapper R-Kay. The single eventually took the 80th place in the Dutch Top 100 single.

In Fall of 2008, Salemme released her Christmas single "Wrap Me Up." To promote this single, Salemme was on the cover of the Christmas edition of Panorama magazine. In the magazine were more beautiful pictures including the single cover of "Wrap Me Up '. Readers Panorama could download the single for free with a special promotional code that was found on the cover. Consequently, the single was downloaded thousands of times.

Salemme has been busy in the studio writing and recording her first album with top producers from the Netherlands, England and Scandinavia. The album is expected to be released by mid-summer 2009.

In January 2009, the single from the album was released entitled "All That She Wants". A month later, the video was released. "All That She Wants" is a cover of the Swedish pop group Ace Of Base, which was a huge global number 1 hit in 1992/93. Salemme delivers a modern twist of this tune! The single has already reached the 24th position in the Dutch Single Top 100!
